This page explains how Optencis chooses its sources, checks facts, writes its articles, uses artificial intelligence and corrects its mistakes. It applies to everything we publish: news articles, guides, the course and our reference pages.
1. Our sources
We work from recognised sources:
- official statistics agencies, such as the US Census Bureau, the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the UK Office for National Statistics;
- central banks, such as the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England;
- major news agencies and financial media;
- the economic calendar, for the forecast and the previous figure of each release.
We name our sources. We do not publish rumours as facts.
2. How we check facts
- The main fact of a news article must be confirmed by at least two independent sources.
- Every figure comes from a source, with its unit and its period.
- We keep what happened separate from what markets expect.
- Times are given in UTC.
3. How we write
- In our own words: we never copy a source or follow its wording closely.
- With added value: key figures side by side (actual, forecast, previous), context, and what to watch next.
- Factual headlines, with no exclamation marks and no sensationalism.
- No invented people, quotes or experiences.
4. How we use artificial intelligence
Our news articles are written with the help of artificial intelligence, from the sources we collect and under rules set by our team. Before an article is published:
- automatic checks reject copied passages, figures that do not appear in the sources, promises of profit, trade directions and any mention of a broker;
- a second, independent AI review looks for hidden advice or implied promises;
- an article that fails these checks is not published.
Our team sets the rules, follows what is published and handles corrections. Translations into French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic are also produced with the help of AI.
Guides, the course and our reference pages are written by the Optencis team, who may use AI tools for drafting and translation. Each of these texts is reviewed by the team before publication.
5. Independence and conflicts of interest
Optencis is an affiliate of the broker Pocket Option and earns commissions when users open an account through our links (see our About page and our Terms of Use). To keep this relationship away from our news:
- news articles never name a broker and never give a trade direction;
- we never present a broker as regulated, safe or reliable;
- our guides explain the costs and risks of binary options openly, including the math that works against the trader.
6. What we do not publish
- promises or guarantees of profit;
- personal investment advice;
- political opinions;
- sponsored articles presented as editorial content.
7. Corrections
If you find an error, write to [email protected] with the link to the article and, if you can, the source that shows the correct information. We check it against our sources and correct the article as quickly as possible. When a correction changes the meaning of an article, we add a dated note at the end of it. The modification date of an article only changes when its content really changes.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
